There is a saying from an unknown author, repeated by the author Jake Remington:
Fate whispers to the warrior: 'You can not withstand the storm.' The warrior whispers back: 'I am the storm.'
You can always decide what perspective you take when facing a problem - will you be a passive audience member in what happens to you, or will you be an active participant and work towards making things better?
