Why don't you start now, today?

If not today, when?

It is a cliche, but every great journey starts with a single step. Not planning, not doing market research, not contemplating potential pitfalls, actually taking a step in the general direction.

Not that planning and research and contemplating aren't important steps in any journey, but until you take that first step, you haven't made any real, tangible motion toward your goal. You're still exactly where you started.

We all have this voice in our head:

But I'm not ready! I don't have everything lined up perfectly in place to ensure I succeed! What if part 3.7b of my plan doesn't go as I expect? I should work out part 3.7.b(ii) before I start.

Is that the voice of prudence, or of fear? In most cases that voice needs to be set aside to focus on jumpstarting the inertia of your journey.

Throw your hat over the wall now, today and take that all important first step towards your goal!
